Your first visit to Cross County Cardiology will probably start with a phone call, requesting a consultation. If you have been referred to us by your primary care physician, one of the first things that may surprise you is how quickly we are able to schedule that consultation. The reason for this is that we believe that if another doctor has recommended that you see a Hudson County cardiologist, or even one of our expert heart doctors in Bergen County, you shouldn’t have to wait, so our aim is to see each new patient within 48 hours of his or her initial call.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will meet with one of our Hudson County heart specialists, who will perform a complete assessment of your medical history, lifestyle habits, current medical conditions or medications, and any symptoms or concerns you may have. During this consultation, you should feel free to ask any questions you might have, because we feel that quality cardiovascular care depends upon establishing an open and trusting dialog between you and your physicians.

This initial dialog will be followed by a thorough physical examination, during which we will perform a number of non-invasive tests to determine the general state of your cardiac and vascular health. Depending on the results of these preliminary tests and on symptoms or concerns you bring up, we may schedule more extensive follow-up tests to help us assess your condition.
