Coronary Intervention (Stent Placement)

If your Hudson County cardiologist recommends a Coronary Angiogram, and it reveals significant coronary artery disease, one of the possible treatment options is percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), or stent placement. This is a minimally invasive procedure that involves inserting a flexible catheter into the affected artery and then inserting a stent to open the artery and restore blood flow to the heart muscle.
